John, Tyson Fury’s Dad Has Urged Him To Retire After Deontay Wilder Win.

‘It’s In His mind, He can’t Do Anymore’ – Tyson Fury’s Dad Laments As He Calls For His Son Retirement.

Tyson Fury’s father has urged the British boxer to retire after beating Deontay Wilder,

Saturday night’s victory in Las Vegas was no doubt the biggest of his career and many expect the Gypsy King to go on and face Anthony Joshua in an all British ‘Fight of the Century’.

But if John Fury gets his way, that won’t happen. Instead, he wants Tyson to hang up his gloves and spend more time with his family.

He said  in caption:

“I want my son to retire now. He’s done enough,” Fury Snr told Good Morning Britain on Monday.

“I think it’s in the back of his mind. He can’t do anymore. He’s won every professional title. Enough is enough. There’s more to life now. He’s given it his all. “He’s got no more to prove. He’s proved he’s been a worthy champion from this country. He’s been 13 years as a pro and he’s always been the opponent.

“Whatever he’s gone into, it’s been an uphill battle for him. He’s 32 years old. He’s got a young family and I do believe his children deserve their father. He’s done enough and that’s my opinion.”

He Further said,

Surely retirement is the last thing on Fury’s mind because right now, he’s on top of the world.

The 31-year-old stopped Wilder in the seventh round of their bout in Las Vegas and absolutely dominated his opponent. Joshua could be next in line for the new WBC champion and the potential payout for that bout could be too good to turn down.

Fury beat Wilder in Saturday's rematch

According to reports,if Fury vs AJ happens, the pot could total a ridiculous £77 million. That could help make the Gypsy King one of Britain’s richest ever sportsmen.

Fury’s father may be urging his son to retire, but with so much money and the ‘Fight of the Century’ proposed, we don’t expect to see Fury hanging up his gloves just yet.
